Vehicle Description
Body is straight and arrow perfect, showing few imperfections and reflecting few if any repairs. Paint is showing it’s age and has been described as a 5 footer. Original wire spoke wheel tells the tale of English coachwork. Chrome is good to very good, showing a bit of patina. I have found absolutely no rust.
Stunning wine red interior augments the white. Upholstery is just perfect, as is the carpet, panels and coverings. Gauges are in solid working order but the speedo is not currently working. The dash is just beautiful, no cracks at all. The heater does not work.
Original, numbers matching motor 2912 cc in-line 6, tranny and rear make this car exceptional. Motor was rebuilt apprx. 3000 miles back, tranny was serviced while the rear differential was rebuilt as well. All new factory wiring harness was installed. The suspension was completely go through with factory components, new discs up front, steering refurbished, starter and new carbs (she has two thus she’s a Mark I).
These Austin’s are a piece of British art. Masterfully crafted alongside the stables of Mini’s and Jensen, these were the ‘Big’ Healey’s.
