Sold to original owner in 1980 (Now deceased) Orignal owner used the Firebird from 1980 to 1991. He moved to Richardson Texas in the early 80s. During this time the car was always garaged when not driven. In 1991 he placed the car in storage where it remained undriven for the next 16 years.
2007 the original owner's estate sold the Firebird to one of his friends in Texas. The second owner had the Firebird repainted and everything else is mostly as it was originally sold. During his ownership the car mostly sat in a building again for 14 more years.
I bought the Firebird in Jan 2021 and meticulously went through the car mechanically and appearance-wise. The only real issue was a leaking power steering pump from years of being parked. Pump was replaced with a new one. I replaced a few missing parts with factory originals. The trunk lining is original, the inflatable mini spare is in the trunk along with the original jack mounted in the correct spot with correct hardware. All underhood stickers and logos are still present and in great shape. Interior is immaculate with no wear on the driver's seat.
The Firebird currently has just over 66K miles on it. The turbo still spools up and dumps. Very strong engine and transmission. Great tires with original wheels showing NO damage or curb rash. NO RUST ANYWHERE. Car has been in Texas its entire life. Consistent show winner.
Comes with a huge pile of documentation, original build sheet and copy of the original window sticker. WS6 (front AND rear disk brakes) option documented by the window sticker. Also has the rare factory HURST double gate "His and Hers" shifter. Please no tire kickers or dreamers. If you want to do an offer then show up with the cash.
