Used 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Full Camper - cars & trucks - by owner -... for sale in Fort Collins, CO

It is with a very heavy heart that we are selling "Chewie" who has been a part of our family for the past 8 years. The only reason we are selling it is that we have simply outgrown it as our children are now teenagers and it is getting quite tight for camping. 160,000 miles. It is a very clean 2-wd van with a manual transmission and Subaru 2.2 liter engine. It is not a Syncro but is commonly mistaken for one due to its aggressive stance and off road tires. It has exceptional road manners with excellent braking / steering / shifting. With the Subaru engine, it has plenty of zip and will do 80 mph on the highway without breaking a sweat. (The Subaru engine has 50% more horsepower than the stock VW engine.) I would feel comfortable taking this van anywhere. (We store it in a garage all winter and it starts up immediately on the first crank in the spring.) The body was repainted just before we bought it and the paint is in very good shape. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean (see pictures).
