Used 1987 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender - PRICE DROP! - cars & trucks -... for sale in Spreckels, CA

$2000 Price drop! I am pandemically motivated to sell my westy. Selling her will help pay my rent for another year! I have owned “Vanhelga” since 2016 and have had an absolute blast, kept up on the maintenance and always had bigger work done by a local shop as I usually break more than I fix. I recently took it in for a pre-sale inspection (on my dime) so I can sell with confidence. All good to go - I have all receipts of the work under my ownership and happy to share them with the new owner.

The weekenders do not have the kitchen, I just added a cabinet where the rear seat is which I really like - 4 bolts hold it in place and the rear seat can be put back in quickly. I have the rear seat and it is in great shape - both ways are shown in pictures. I am happy to re-install the seat if needed or you can at some point down the line.

Yes - it has a salvage title. BUT it has been driven, registered and insured continuously since 2003 - that’s 17 years. No issues with the salvage, the frame is fine. The previous owner was a Mercedes mechanic of 20 years who bought it from a Mercedes restoration guy that had the cause of the salvage title repaired which was damage to the sliding door from an accident. It was originally an automatic but is now a 4 speed manual (installed by the previous owner). I ran the carfax before buying it and it all checked out as I had been told. She has a very strong engine, and my mechanic found no structural damage at all when I purchased. I too was nervous about the salvage title, but have since realized that it was no big deal as I see others that have salvage titles. Engine was rebuilt at about 185,000 miles I was told.
