Used 1957 Chevrolet 210 for sale in Solon, OH
Vehicle Description
Former editor of Old Cars Weekly, John Gunnell, once wrote of the 1957 Chevys: “If any post-war car has earned classic status – this is the car.”
First offered in 1953, the mid-range 210 series was Chevy’s best-selling model for two years, offering style and luxury that was less expensive than the Bel Air. Its freshened look for 1957 included low, sleek lines and high-set rear fenders.
Still, 1957 was the last year for the 210’s production, making this a desirable model for automotive collectors, especially the 2-door hardtops. Their elegant interior is comfortable, and the sleek design and gleaming chrome trim are classic statements of a pop culture icon.
This Arizona resto-mod started as a clean, original Chevy 210 hardtop, and then the former owner designed the look and left no stone unturned. Everything on this frame-off restoration is either new or restored to perfection as the builder designed it.
The custom paint was performed by J. Moody of J. Moody's Hotrod Paint Company of Tucson. Even more rare, a unique one-piece ‘57 Chevy California front bumper was sourced.
The glove-soft tan leather interior and custom door panels were created with Connolly Leather Hides, which were used in higher-end foreign cars. The custom carpets, including the trunk, are immaculate and of the finest materials.
Other interior details include a beautiful wooden Lecarra steering wheel, Moon tachometer, and well-placed oil pressure and temperature gauges. Power windows and Vintage Air Conditioning have been professionally installed under the custom-painted dash.
The ZZ4 Crate engine was mated with a Holley 780 CFM carburetor and K&N filter. The TH 350 3-speed automatic transmission with shift kit improved performance for a firmer, shorter shift. A high-quality Lokar shifter was also added. The wheels are American Racing Salt Flat Specials, and the tires feature BFGoodrich T/A 225/70R15s on the front and 275/60R15s on the back.
Other exciting additions:
- a 605 power steering box
- stainless steel front disc power brakes
- front end sway bars
- Ford 9" rear end
- Magna Flow mufflers
This Chevy has been carefully driven under 5,000 miles since its restoration in 2016. All the chrome and stainless are stunning, and the custom paint and mechanicals have held up extremely well with no signs of deterioration.
With this stunning 210 Resto-Mod, everything looks brand-new, as though the frame-off restoration was done yesterday. Don’t miss a chance to drive this American icon.
