Vehicle Description
350 - 5.7 liter engine. 180,607 miles. This is not a diesel. This is how they made school busses in the 90's. Its a strong runner but its also 27 years old. It isnt perfect. The new transmission has about 200 miles on it. The engine oil has been changed religiously since the inception of this bus into service. It was a head start (government) bus and then it was my bus so I know it's been maintained. Due to it's age it may need something eventually engine-wise, but I'm told right now all is in excellent shape. It's great on insurance costs (for me it was) so it was nice with pre-school use. Again - I think this was due to the age.
What it needs: one of the duelleys put on (we have it but havent taken the time to put it on - can drive without but would probably be good to put on eventually). It needs two windows fixed. I had safelight bid this at 300 for windows and installation. I can't think of anything more it needs. Other than a bath and to be jumped.
It drives good on the highway and around town. Its a V8 but I only filled it up about once per month with driving it roughly 5 days a week. I do not know mpg but it never seemed abnormal - Meaning - fuel was not a hinderance for me.
If you are interested in this for transporting people - it works for that. If you want to make a camper out of it - it would work for that too but it is not a 4 wheel drive so if going 4-wheeling I have no idea how it would do. Just would like to see it go to someone who would use it as it's a neat old bus.

07 Suburban with high miles. The body is in decent shape and the transmission was rebuilt by Chevy. The engine has been replaced 3 months ago but now it has a collapsed lifter. It still runs but has a ticking from the engine due to the lifter.
