Overall wear and tear on the paint job and front and back bumpers
Dent in rear passenger side door
Small dent in rear driver side door
Both the driver side and the passenger side front bumper has some damage from squeezing in and out of tight driveways downtown. This car has never been in an accident.
Passenger side headlight case is cracked but has been sealed with clear epoxy to prevent waterlogging
Small dent in hood on driver side from falling debris
Cracked windshield and sunroof (neither leek and I can fix the windshield with my AAA membership. Was just waiting for my residential parking sticker to expire)
Speaker system cut out on me while driving in the rain one day. I assume to be a wiring issue but have never gotten it looked at.
Driver side window does not go up or down. Had it turned off so it would not get stuck in the up position.
Car History
I bought this car in may of 2018 and had a bunch of general maintenance done as I was going to be driving this car out to Colorado. I had the whole engine resealed as well as getting the transmission flushed. During this work they had to pull basically the whole engine out of the car and put it back in. One the mechanics forgot to tighten some bolt all the way and just as I was arriving to my destination of Vail Colorado my car shut off. Turns out that loose bolt had fallen down into the belt of my power steering pump and bent it all up. It was a $500 repair and luckily the people over at Suby Doctors paid for the full repair. The car ran great until Feb of 2019 when I basically tried to drive this car up a mountain with no oil. So I had to put a whole new engine in the car. It cost $5,000 for the new engine as well as having the automatic transmission sealed and the brake fluid changed for a total of around $5,500. I drove this car back to SC in March of 2019 with no problems whatsoever. I had the front brakes and rotors changed in August of 2019. Had the transmission filter replaced in November of 2019 as well as the tires rotated. The speaker system did cut out on me while I was driving in the rain and Suby doctors checked all of the audio fuses and recommended I see an audio shop. Dents on side of the car were there when I purchased it but I have given the front and back bumper some love squeezing into my driveway on Laurens street. The last thing I did was put a 2000 lb trailer hitch on it for towing around my little skiff.
Overall this car runs absolutely great given the engine replacement and I know it will run at least another 200,000 miles. I will have all of the paperwork for the repairs available when you come see the car. This would be a great first car for a teen or even a work car for towing around small loads. The price is high for a 2005 but with essentially a brand new engine it makes sense. I am in the market for a bigger car so if you have something you are willing to trade don’t be afraid to throw it out there.
