SOME HISTORY:

Completing its pre-delivery inspection on March 26th of 1999 at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota (FL), it was delivered to its first and only owner on September 22nd of that same year. It would then remain inside the lady's winter home in Southwest Florida (Fort Myers) until today.

For that matter, this SL500 is free of any rust or issues associated with cars that have lived "up north" as it has never seen foul weather.

COSMETICS:

Factory Mercedes soft top in perfect condition. This is rare nowadays , as most of them have been replaced with aftermarket ones by now.

Remarkable exterior, which is free of dents or major imperfections. There is one small rock chip under the driver side headlight and a 0.5-inch long scratch on the left corner of the rear bumper (please see photos).

5-spoke AMG mono-block wheels are pristine and 100% free of curb rash and pitting.

Factory glass is free of rocks and chips.

Factory interior is perfect with no sun fading, scratches or tears on the seats. Carpeting and floormats look new, and wood center console is free of defects.

Original sun visor mirror covers are still present, free of cracks and in working condition.

Trunk and engine bay are as clean as the cabin of the car. Ready to show.

MECHANICAL:

This SL500 has been maintained regularly and needed little reconditioning when we purchased, yet it was fully inspected and serviced by Prestige Mercedes in Fort Myers. As a result, the following was performed to guarantee its reliable enjoyment for years to come:

- Roof hydraulics rebuild.
- All fluids and filters replaced.
- New Battery.
- New front tire rods and bushings.
- New Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

As a result, everything works as intended, from its powerful A/C on a hot Florida day to its factory stereo and antenna.
