Used 1948 REO Speedwagon for sale in North Adams, MA

Selling a 1948 REO Speedwagon. Bought new by my great uncle and has been in the family ever since. I purchased the truck several years ago with the thoughts of restoring it or possibly turning it into a tow truck.

The speedometer shows 25,000 miles and believed to be correct, as the truck was only used locally and on the farm. It is powered by a flat head 6 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission with a 2 speed rear end. Its starts right up and runs great. Clutch feels great. Gauges all seem to work correctly. It has a hydraulic brake system which currently does not work (truck has no brakes). The flatbed does have a dump system under it which worked when the truck was parked, but it currently not working. May need just fluid or seals. Truck was on the road right up until 1998 when the brakes went out and the truck got parked.

Truck will be sold with a Vermont bill of sale. Asking $5000, but am open to reasonable offers. Also have a set of Holmes W45 wrecker booms available that would fit on the truck at an additional cost.
