Used 1959 MGA - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale for sale in West Winfield, NY

1959 MGA parts car. Car was running when taken off the road about 1980. It was owned by a pair of teachers on Long Island who used it as an every day car from marriage to the time they started a family. Once they outgrew it they parked it and the fenders, interior, trim, chrome were stored in a garage and the chassis and main body, engine, transmission, etc. were stored outside and covered with a tarp. Time took it's toll on the chassis and it is now just a parts car. It wasn't in perfect shape when it was taken off the road but it wasn't a rust bucket either. Over the years bits and pieces of the car were scattered and some parts were tossed in the garbage as the garage was cleaned out. Pictures show what is left. The engine was treated with oil or some sort of preservative and it is free. An inspection of the valve cover oil fill cap and spark plug openings show good, clean, bright metal and residual oil. I can turn the engine over via the fan belt. The fenders are restorable, they are rusty along the bottom edges, show some filler here and there but they could be restored used instead of reproduction fenders. The hood and trunk lid are restorable. The front end of the body is toast, very rusty, and dented. The rear end of the body is intact and free of major dents, see pictures. It could be grafted onto another body if someone needed to repair rear end damage. Rear axle turns freely and the wheels roll just fine. Front suspension is intact but the kingpins are frozen and the steering won't turn. Frame is very rusty at the door sills and rockers are gone. Doors are very solid and in good condition. Top frame is complete. Some other misc parts are pictured. I am also including several boxes of used parts from other MGA projects I've had over the years. They include rubber bits and pieces, hardware, a distributor, generator, and other stuff. Price is pretty firm. There is a lot of stuff here for the money. No scammers or low ball offers.
