Vehicle Description
The Jeep is pretty close to original as a Jeep can be. It has new ProComp rims and BF Goodrich AT tires. Set of 5. They have less then 100 miles on them. The Jeep has been garage kept most of its life and it shows. The previous owner took good care of her from what I can tell.
I have done little to the Jeep since I purchase her. I rebuilt the brakes. New master cylinder, rebuilt 2 brakes pistons and replaced 2 pistons. All flexible brakes lines have been replaced as well.
Front and rear differentials were opened up and cleaned. Transfer case, manual transmission and PTO drive were all flushed and cleaned. New fluids in everything.
This is a solid Willy Jeep with minimal damage to the body. See pics of front and rear passenger side fenders to see what I’m talking about. Other than that, the body is solid and rust free.
It has a Ramsey 8,000lb PTO drive winch that is a tank of a beast. Hurricane 4 cylinder engine that runs great. It comes with 2 carburetors. The second one is for high altitude use. I have never had it on the Jeep. But it comes with it. I have the canvas top hardware and door hardware. It does have a top. But I have never put it on and it is old.
I also have the original tire rims and they come with the Jeep if someone wants them. The original owner built an extension for the bed of the Jeep which makes it about a foot longer. It also comes with it. I also have the original seat cushions which went on the rear fender wells and the backrest for them. They are not it great condition, but could be restored.
I did have the original seats redone. There was little in cushioning in them and it felt like you were riding on the gas tank. When they were redone all foam and cushioning was completely replaced and new exterior grade sailcloth was used. They turned out very good and I kept the color as close to original as we could.
Willy Jeeps of this age are hard to find in the condition this one is. It is a great Willy for restoration, build up or to keep as is.
