Used 1966 Ford Thunderbird Coupe for sale in Phoenix, AZ
Vehicle Description
It has an elegant roofline sporting a slanted C-pillar & ¼ windows, combined with the full rear-wheel-opening instead of fender skirts.
The solid Gold color, or as Ford named it “light-beige-metallic”, compliments the black bucket-seat interior very well.
Hardly any Coupe has such an elegant, yet sporty and inviting back-seat design as these T-birds have. Very unique.
This vintage Ford was manufactured December 1965 in Michigan, delivered to New York and spent time in Illinois and Wisconsin before arriving in Arizona.
During its lifetime the car was always garaged and received a cosmetic restoration over 10 years ago.
Since then the paint has faded and aged somewhat, but it is still very presentable.
The stock black vinyl interior is in great condition throughout.
Swing away steering wheel is functional, tire air-pressure decal still in console.
Odometer reads 45,444 miles, which may very well be correct, but we have no verification or proof, other than the vehicle condition.
Everything is in original condition, down to the turn signal indicators, optional passenger rear view mirror and the wheel-covers.
Sequential turn signals work, trunk light works, original jacking instructions still in place, as is the factory trunk-cladding material and jack.
This is a straight solid automobile, free of rust through or major previous damage in good running and driving condition.
The undercarriage still shows the Ford factory red zinc oxide primer. Glass and brightwork are in good condition
In some pictures you may notice an eyebrow trim-piece missing below the passenger headlight, it has since been installed.
Recently the voltage-regulator was replaced and the front-end, as well as power-steering-pump were rebuilt.
Whitewall tires are in good condition. Even the original drains on rockers and vents are still in place.
This T-Bird fires right up and settles into a perfect idle with a nice rumble. No leaks
It runs, drives, shifts and stops excellent. Looks just as good if not better.
Bystanders and passengers are always amazed about the condition, comfort and daily driving capabilities of this classic Ford.
This is an excellent start to the classic car hobby or a great addition to any collection.
Turn key and ready for a new owner.
Priced at only $12,500.- Reasonable offers might be considered.
