Used 1967 MG Midget (1966 1/2) and Parts - cars & trucks - by owner -... for sale in Farmington Hills, MI

$2900 obo for the car and extra parts (not including the Datsun transmission), $3900 obo for everything. I am selling a 1967 (1966 1/2) MG Midget. It has the stock 1275cc inline 4 cylinder with a 4 speed manual transmission currently in the car. I bought the car last year from Florida, and it was restored in about 2003 as a mild restoration. The body is not ready for Concours, and the single stage paint makes for a good weekend cruiser and not a show car. I bought it as a project car to restore again, but I've recently changed the direction I want to take the restoration (drivetrain swap, body mods, etc) and I don't feel I can rightfully do that to this to this era of MG.

I'd rather see it go to someone who would keep it a complete cruiser and as original as possible. It runs and will drive, but it currently doesn't have a working reverse gear in the transmission that is in the car. I have already bought the majority of parts (which are all included in the sale price of the car) to make it a cruiser. I haven't installed them yet because I keep going back and forth with the direction I want to take the restoration.

This would be a great winter project, especially considering the parts I've already acquired for the car. I'd like to keep all of the parts together with the car and I am not currently interested in separating the Datsun 5 speed from the vehicle sale due to how hard they are to come by for these specific car transmission swaps. You would want to trailer the car home, as it doesn't currently like the cold weather too much. I do not need help selling the car, nor am I interested in trades.
