1974 Corvette C3 "Stingray" T-Top - exceptional condition

This is NOT your typical beat up old Vette. It has been completely restored. It has brand new tires and Vintage Air. The engine was upgraded to a SBC (small block Chevy) 400 that was bored .030 and stroked making it roughly 427 cubic inches. It's running a .480 lift cam, which is a mid-range cam for the cubic inches, so it will idle at the stop light with the AC on. It's running GM heads, with aftermarket hardware. It's topped off with dual Edelbrock 500 cfm four-barrel carbs on a polished intake. It also has a new Edelbrock high-flow water pump, new Edelbrock electric fuel pump, new 100 amp chrome alternator, chrome AC pump, and HEI. The engine builder estimated it at 450 hp, and I believe that to be spot on. Runs on 90+ pump gas. The original TH350 was replaced with a 700r4 (overdrive automatic). It's sitting on factory wheels with brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires (factory size). New battery just installed this year. I also installed a new electric tack replacing the older gear-driven tack. The Vette also has a massive stereo … I'm not personally a 'big stereo' guy, but it was in there when I got the car. It was professionally installed and has a ten-disk changer. The interior is in very good condition - factory dark blue, new floor mats, no rips or wear. Always garaged. It is literally ready for a show.

If you know anything about old cars, you know that every one of them has a few issues. Here's what's wrong with this one:
• Edelbrock carbs are not set up for fast cornering. The fuel all runs through the bypass to one side, while the other side is starved for fuel. This is a very common and known issue. The top of the carb needs pulled off and the bypass blocked with a small piece of rubber. You should also reset the float levels to 7/16 up and 15/16th down with the gasket. This is an easy job … I just haven't taken the time to do it.
• There is a vacuum leak somewhere in the headlight system, which again is very common. The buckets are new, so I believe it to be a small line leak. You simply need to pressurize the system and search for the leak. No big deal. This causes the headlights to open when the car is no running.
• Lastly, there is an oil leak where the oil pan meets the timing chain cover. It's an aluminum fined pan, so you need to use a one-piece gasket. I have purchased the gasket, I just haven't installed it. This does require the steering arms to be dropped, but then you have great access to the oil pan. It can be done in an afternoon - no problem.
