Vehicle Description
Engine:
The engine is out of a 1996 corvette that I got from auction. It has been rebuilt and modified. The engine, Ignition system and fuel system was transplanted directly into this truck.
LT-1 Engine high lights:
Built to a 383 stroker at 10.5 to 1 Compression ratio (about 450 hp )
All roller valve train
Forged crank
Aftermarket rods and pistons
Aftermarket lightened flywheel
Port fuel injection from the 1996 corvette
Intake has been match ported and has a big bore throttle body
Exhaust is Headman ceramic coted headers to dual cats with true dual exhaust out the back
Performance cam with a dual roller timing chain
Oil pan is an 8qt pan with a high flow oil pump and external oil cooler
Transmission: NV4500
The transmission is a NV4500 that has been rebuilt by Matt at Precision Standards (5 speed manual that is commonly used in 1 ton trucks)
It is connected to the engine with a Advanced Adapters bell housing and has a hydraulic clutch setup that uses a standard Chevy clutch assembly
The transfer case is the stock t-case but it was rebuilt by Matt as well
Differentials: ¾ ton
The rear diff is a ¾ ton full floater 14 bolt from a 2004 Chevy with 410 gears and disc brakes
The front diff is a ¾ ton 10 bolt with 410 gears and Warren manual locking hubs
Wheels are 20 inch by 10 inch wide 8 lug with 275/65R20 tires, I also have an extra set of tires
Body and interior:
The body is straight and has no rust. Do not know of any body work that has been done to this truck but it has been repainted at one time.
The interior is very clean and almost all stock, Mahogany bench seat, dash, door panels and carpet. It has an aftermarket headliner with built in speakers. The windows are tinted, Power windows, Power door locks, P/S P/B a nice stereo with 6 speakers and an amplifier. A/C and heater work well. The gauges have been reworked with a new printed circuit board that adds a tachometer next to the speedometer and moves the fuel gauge to where the clock would go. The rear-view mirror is out of a newer Chevy that has the built-in campus and outside temperature and is auto dimming.
These are just the highlights, there are many other things that have been done to this truck to make it a super cool, one of a kind truck. I have enjoyed this truck immensely. It starts and runs very well and doesn’t give me any problems. It has lots of power and is a blast to drive. I keep it well maintained and it has a fresh oil change on it.
