1985 Mercedes-Benz 500SEL

This car is a grey market import that has been federalized to meet U.S. Emissions & Safety standards. The car is a very early Gen 2. Gen 2 W126s did not come to the U.S. until 1986, but were available in Europe in 1985. The car has been fitted with North American spec bumpers and lights. It has a high compression 5 liter CIS-E engine and has anti-squat rear suspension.

Car passes smog and has a clean title. Runs and drives great. Paint is very shiny and the interior is very clean. Wood trim is in excellent condition. The AC and heater work great. AC has been recharged and the monovalve has been replaced. All of the vacuum actuators for the HVAC blend doors have been repaired or replaced. The anti-lock brake system works and has had the front sensors replaced. The fuses have been replaced with copper ceramic fuses. The auxiliary fan resistor has also been replaced.

Has recently had all of the brake lines replaced and the brake system flushed with fresh DOT 4 fluid. The engine oil and filter have been changed. Spark plugs have been changed with the correct non-resistor plugs. New engine mounts have been installed and the cooling system has been flushed and filled with the correct Zerex G05 coolant.
Also, has new catalytic converters and O2 sensor.

Most of the interior has been restored. Most of the parts came from a very good condition 1989 420SEL. Carpet, seats, dash, door cards, wood trim, and B-pillar trim have all been replaced.

All of the power features of the car work except for the sunroof.
