Vehicle Description
-1978 350 Block with a small cam, headers, edlebock 650 carb, and mangaflow true dual exhaust.
-freshly rebuilt sm465 4 speed manual with a freshly resealed np208 transfer case.
-reverse-slip double-cardone high angle rear driveshaft with 1350 1 ton u joints.
-14 bolt heavy half ton 9.5 inch rear axle swap with 4.56 gears.
-31 spline 10 bolt front axle out of 89 and newer square bodywith 4.56 gears.
-37x12.5x16.5 Goodyear military OZ tired on fabtech reentered humvee bead-locks with rock rings welded in, DOT approved.
-rear shock in-boarding kit by off-road design.
-front steering box brace by off-road design.
-rear lift is comprised of a shackle flip with a 56 inch spring swap from a 3/4 ton square body with leaf packs removed.
-front lift springs were custom with the main leaf being out of an Jeep Cherokee rear and then having other leafs added to match the ride height. Front springs went from factory 48” length to 57” long with the use of custom 6” boomerang shackles.
-converted to a hydronic clutch using factory hydraulic clutch pedals with factory master and slave cylinders.
-truck was repainted about 10 years ago but there still is rust towards the bottom of both front doors and the rockers and the tailgate.
-the interior is really clean, it has a new dash.
Overall the truck is really solid. Of course it needs some work still but I just don’t have the time or money I had before my daughter was born. The truck is a great starting point for someone wanting something great off-road or just something to cruise around town in. It will need a crossover steering kit eventually to help turn those big tires off-road. I have started collecting the gearbox and pitman arm needed for the swap and I will include extra parts with the truck.
