Vehicle Description
The Mercedes Diesels are famous for being some of the most reliable cars on the road, with 500,000 miles to be the norm. The 190 being the compact sedan paired with the diesel made for the lightest chassis to get the best possible fuel mileage. In 1987 was a one year only you could get the turbo 2.5 diesel found in the 300D in this compact package. The additional power is fantastic for anyone that has driven the non turbo versions.
I got this car as a fuel saving commuter, normally seeing 38 mpg city and 43 mpg freeway.
This generation is known for having the robust injection system thats ready for bio diesel and and is easily converted.
The car has been a pleasure to drive and own, its one of the most comfortable and smooth riding cars ive ever owned. The seats are plush and comfy for long trips. I drove this car from Lake Shasta back to my home in Fresno and it was comfy and smooth the whole way.
Everything works great, A/C blows cold. Still has the factory first aid kit in the box.
I put a bluetooth/usb JVC radio into the car, bypassed the factory fader switch for clearer audio.
Bad things:
Sunroof - Im not sure if it works, but I dont ever want it open so I havent tried.
Power antenna - doesnt power up or down, most likely broken cable inside, i dont listen to the radio so havent cared to repair it.

The list goes on for everything the previous owner performed on the car since new. Rare to find detailed maintenance record like that anymore. He even kept the polaroid photos from the day he purchased it.
Comes with 2 main keys and one compact spare.
You can see in the photos this car was loved and well cared for, you wont find a cleaner example. It does have dings and chips for being on the road for the last 300K miles, and is to be expected.
Similar 190 turbo diesels are giong for 7,000+ and im reflecting the price because of the paint wear and tear.
