Used 1990 Dodge W-150 5/8 Ton Beast for sale in Poway, CA

This truck started as a forest ranger truck in the Prescott National Forest for 6 years, then 9 years on a ranch in Ramona, when I purchased it in 2005. It is a gov't 5/8 ton 4WD 4 speed 318 V8 with a granny gear. You'll be lucky to get 9mpg on the freeway, but if you want to pull stumps or buildings off their foundations, this truck will do it all day long. Total rebuild in 2007-2009, including paint job. New tires. Excellent working condition, doesn't drip fluids or burn oil. Ready to go for the fall hunt or winter camping season.

Here is what was rebuilt - motor, axles, tranny, rear diff, brakes, fuel lines, exhaust system, all mechanical and electrical systems, fuel pump, ABS system, and much more.

door hinges, handles, door sills and door seals
headliner and carpeting

A lot more I cant remember.

The only thing I never spent much $ on was the exterior, except for an earl schieb paint job, because I knew I would just ding it up on camping and hunting trips anyhow. Beside why remove all that character? At least I kept the original government green and white paint scheme, the AZ National Forests still use. Its a real one of a kind truck.

I have put over $23000 into this truck since I bought it, and have put less than 15000 miles on it since the rebuild. I have complete reciepts for all parts and work I have done. I drove it hunting a few times a year, and my son drove it for a few years in high school. Can't stand to just see it sitting unused, hoping somone will make it their backcountry truck again.

Mileage......best guess around 205k on the frame. 1st odometer crapped out around 190,000 miles, I put another instrument cluster in which recorded about 10,000 miles til the cable broke. So hey, at least there are a few projects left on this bad boy, and the speedo still works.
