1990 Saab Turbo Manual 5-speed convertible
Mileage – Title states exempt. Odometer shows 278k but was broken when I received the car.
Last known mileage taken according to Carfax was 155k in 1998
I bought this car as a restoration project.
Here is a list of the items I have fixed and/or replaced.
Engine and drive train:
• New radiator
• New coolant hoses,
• New water pump
• New clutch pressure plate, disk and release bearing
• New clutch master
• New clutch slave
• New clutch hydrolic line
• Head overhauled by Florida Auto Performance in Cape Coral,
• New head gasket valve cover gaskets
• New timing chain,
• New front cover and oil seal gaskets
• ECU replaced
• Distributor replaced
• New plugs, cap and rotor and wires,
• New exhaust system from down pipe back including hi flow cat and muffler and new resonator
• Turbo Charger overhauled
Suspension and steering:
• All new coil springs
• All new shocks
• All new upper and lower swing arm bushings
• New tie rods
• New ball joints
• Front end aligned by Mr.B's shop in Cape Coral
• New drive axle cvc joint boots, bearings repacked
• New steering column bushings and replaced steering column u-joint assembly
• Replaced Power Steering Pump
Body and Top:
• New rear portion of convertible top (rear window section)
• Replaced convertible top motor/pump
• 2 stage paint job with wet sanding and buffed out in 3 stages (original color used - Edwardian Grey Metallic)
• Bumpers and side molding also painted with original trim color in 2 stage with satin clear.
• New wheel arch moldings
• New front window scrapers (weather strips) Rear windows could use new as well.
• New wind shield.
Miscellaneous:
• Relocated battery to trunk allowing ability to use any size battery as well as keeps battery away from exhaust heat
• New ignition/key switch
• New Battery
• After market fog lamps,
• Added three glow shift gages to lower console: Fuel pressure, battery voltage and Coolant temp
• New fuel filter.
• All dash gages work as expected.
• Fresh oil change and transmission oil change using Amsoil.
• New speedometer cable.
• New aftermarket stereo – JVC with Bluetooth.
Areas still needing some work:
• Front seats need new covers
• Dash fascia could use some TLC.
Overall:
• The car runs ,drives and shifts well. A/C is working.
• Main section of convertible top is the twill or mohl hair version, not the cheaper vinyl and is in good condition with no leaks
• The Top goes up and down like it should as well as all the windows.
• Comes with Parade boot cover (covers top when down/folded)
