This 1991 model is the last year for the legendary Vanagon GL Westfalia Camper. Original pastel white with gray interior, she has a 2.1 liter water-cooled horizontally opposed engine with the 3 speed automatic transmission. Even the A/C works and blows cold.
Pearl is in very good condition and well above average for a 1991 Westy. A full camper that sleeps 4 with a kitchen and poptop, she remains 100% stock with ample cabinets, drawers and storage. The interior is super clean and the upholstery is nearly perfect. The door panels and all curtains are in excellent condition.
Mechanically, my Westy is in amazing condition. Her original engine has only 53,000 miles, with replacements of belts and regular services as needed with OEM parts when available. I am the second owner (first owner put 14k on it in 8 years!) and have full mechanic’s records since my purchase in 1999. Even with such low original miles, my Westy has been meticulously maintained by the top 3 VW Westy shops in the SF Bay Area.
There is a clean title. She has passed all the VIN checks including CarFax, AutoCheck and FaxVIN. She has a new catalytic converter (for CA, Magnaflow), a code-required new propane tank and regulator, new tires, and parts replaced as needed over the years. All original manuals, keys, jack and window screens are included. There are very few dings, to be expected over her decades, but otherwise the original paint is intact. No rust! No smoking!
A 1991 Westy in this condition is rare. This Westy is in Northern California. She was appraised for insurance purposes (available for your records) in 2015 for $63k. Her DMV tags are current. She's been recently smogged to sell. My days camping with her are past and she’s looking for a new caretaker and adventurer. This is my third and final Westy.
