Offered for sale is this extremely rare and collectible IROC R/T Daytona, one of only 341 made in 1992, with just 47K miles and all original condition throughout. The IROC name transferred from Chevrolet to Dodge in 1990, when the latter company took over sponsorship of the annual IROC race. The "International Race of Champions" was actually a North America-centric All Star race, pitting the best drivers from Indy Car, NASCAR, Road Racing, and even Outlaw racing against each other in identically prepared race cars. This 1992 IROC was celebrating the Daytonas used in that race, which was one by Ricky Rudd.

Powered by an extremely potent DOHC and turbocharged 2.2 liter engine tweaked by both Shelby and Lotus, it put out 224HP and very respectable torque - enough to make it quicker in the quarter mile than the 350ci V8 Z28. It is coupled to a Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox, with all independent suspension, directional wheels and tires, and strong ABS brakes. Everything works well on this car, including the very cold air conditioning and Infinity stereo system. With just 47K miles and showroom condition throughout, as well as a strong set of books and records on the car, this example is extremely collectible, and ready for fun at the car shows or tucking away in a collection as values increase.
