We got a 1996 S10 with 106,000 miles. The truck runs good and the engine sounds very sound. It had a new clutch and new brakes put on before it was parked. It also has good tires look almost new. The truck was a relatives who got sick and could not drive it anymore. It drives good and shifts very smooth. It has good HEAT and this is a basic trim so does not come with AC. The interior is clean. I put a Brand New battery in it as well when I started it up since its been sitting awhile. We are asking $950 OBO or a very reasonable offer. I know the engine and transmission are worth more than that alone. Good winter vehicle with low gas milage.
Now for the cons,
This truck is very rusty as you can see in the pictures. This truck has been sitting for several years, but it started up first try and runs good. As soon as I drove it down the road and applied the brake it sprung a leak in the brake line which is understandable since those tend to rust out if not driven. I was able to down shift and stop just fine with emergency brake. New brake lines and its ready for the road. Good for a mechanic type or someone who knows one in the family. This is not a major problem to fix at all!
