Maroon/Burgundy exterior, Beige interior.
This is a solid reliable running car and I would love to keep it but I don't have a place to put it. With that said, here is everything about it's condition. Some of the electrical stuff like the front right passenger/rear left passenger windows don't operate, certain intermittent interior locking button door issues, and console illumination lights need help. The cruise control usually works but sometimes just blinks on the console. The parking brake light will come on as well occasionally. The timing belt/radiator fluid/water pump was replaced in the summer of 2019 at around 155,000 miles. When I purchased it in April 2020, I had the the front right axle rod and assembly replaced along with the same wheel bearing as well as changed out the automatic transmission fluid, filter, and the separate gear fluid. The engine uses up a quart of oil between oil changes. The trunk must be opened with the trunk release by the driver’s seat. I never looked into fixing the trunk lock. Being a small four cylinder economical sedan, it does struggle when driving up and down the highway on the way to Denver and back. With that said, of the several handfuls of rides to Denver, I’ve never had any hesitation in doing that two hours out as long as it wasn't an intensive traffic/weather period. The transmission/engine will rev up to 3500-4000 RPMs up these hills and on hard acceleration on the highway ramps. The beige seats under the seat covers are in good condition. There are some minor dents or inconsistency’s in the outer metal body typical for a car this age and the paint does have a good number of chips in it. The air conditioning system has a leak somewhere. I fully charged it with freon and it held for a few weeks before it stopped cooling. It will need to have the leak found and repaired. Under the engine, the four plastic splash gaurds were starting to fall off. I pulled them all out, cleaned them off and bought the clips and screws to fasten them back. All those pieces are stored in the truck for the new buyer. The front left signal light housing is somewhat loose from the body, so every once in a while I will push it firmly in until it pops out again. Finally, the car is throwing a code for the EGR valve. I suspect that will cost something like $500 to fix although I have not had an official estimate done. The actual valve may need replacing or perhaps it’s one of the EGR system hoses. As I understand it, up here in these mountain cities, the check engine lights are not an issue at all when registering the vehicle. She’s a great reliable first car (with a clean title) that has many more, than the shy of 200K miles she's been driven, to go as these Camry's are known for with watchful maintenance.
