Used 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT for sale in Morley, MI
Vehicle Description
Bought new in 1996 this truck is now 23 years old with 241, 814 miles on it and it is showing wear. At the moment the intermediate steering shaft needs to be replaced and one of the ABS sending units also needs to be replaced which means that entire hub has to be replaced according to the repair facility that gave me the news or you can leave it as is and the ABS won't work but the regular braking system still works.... I expect the exhaust will need to be replaced soon too. And the radio, although it "works" has a very funky volume adjustment so I just leave it where it is and a couple of the speakers rattle. Also the air conditioning needs to be charged each year. So that's the bad news.
The good news is that the truck still runs good and shifts good and the tires have some remaining tread. There is a bed liner and a bed liner pad included and it is selling with the Haynes manual for the do-it-yourselfer.
I would have had the repairs done and kept on driving it myself, but I really needed a bigger truck because I recently bought a bigger trailer and this truck just isn't rated for towing the loads the larger trailer will hold.
