This is the last year of the SVX. Only 640 total 1997 SVX’s were sold. Very low production. Rarest of the SVX. Runs and drives great and has been very dependable. Italian designed, featuring a “glass-on-glass” canopy. Suede two-tone interior. Powered by a EG33 model 3.3-liter DOHC 24 valve flat-six boxer engine. 4 speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive with active torque splitting and a vicious limited-slip rear differential. Collectible Grand Tourer that’s one of the most intriguing and eccentric cars in Subaru’s history.
The original paint is starting to show some wear but still polishes up nice and looks good. The interior is in very nice condition. All routine maintenance performed throughout ownership, including new alternator, power steering belt and hoses, rear brakes, throttle position sensor, main relay, mass air flow sensor, driver and passenger side CV shafts. Mechanically sound and excellent build quality.
