-8' Western Unimount Pro Plow
-253k on odometer
-Whats New- Partial Break lines, new tranny (From Kennedy Transmission) in 17' (2k miles on it), Rebuilt Motor (had 60k on motor before it was rebuilt, has been driven roughly 5k miles since)
The good- Runs, drives and shifts good. Normal wear and tear on interior, but good for 253k, Misc electronics work (lights, radio, interior lights etc) tires like new, plow had new A-frame 4 years ago
The bad- AC does not blow cold, rust along lower body, right mirror broken, no tailgate (hinges rusted off), crack in 1 of the exhaust manifolds (truck is louder than normal but not horribly loud), Passenger window stuck up
We bought this truck used about 6 years ago, a rebuilt engine w/ 60k miles was put in right before we bought it, have put about 5k miles on since, New transmission was done in fall 2017 by kennedy transmission. We've used it for residential plowing 1/2 as a backup and 1/2 as a normal route truck, running about 4 hours a storm if it was used. We did not use it in the summer. Would make a good backup plow truck, residential plow truck, or for your own residence. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy commercial plowing, it is too lightweight. Has been extremely reliable for us.
