Vehicle Description
The Brabus package installed on this car includes steering wheel, exhaust, front and rear bumper, amg ducktail spoiler. According to the previous owner, it was all installed after purchase in 1998 but I cannot confirm where the installation was done.
I do have some Mercedes service records dating back to 2008, they cannot pull any further than that. The car has been in for recalls, service and maintenance on a regular basis. Most currently, I have had the spark plugs, oil & filter, hood liner and roof headliner replaced, two front hydraulic cylinders, serpentine belt and idler pulley. All Mercedes genuine parts were used. According to the previous owner, ignition coils were replaced not too long ago and also some work has been done on the convertible top. Its works flawlessly along with everything else.
It does have a 2003 Blaupunkt stereo. Other than that everything else is original except for the rare Brabus parts.
Recent body/paint work includes the front and rear bumper, front fenders and hood. They had some flaws such as rock chips, minor chips or cracks that are not acceptable on a show car like this.
The car has no issues, drive and operates as it should. The previous owner stated that it was a one family car, while in that family it had been 3 different title changes. I am the fourth owner.
Comes with the stand for the hardtop
Also this is the last year the the SL came with the more powerful 32 Valve QuadCam 320HP motor. Also this car is currently under classic insurance. $350 a year with Hagerty, can be covered up to $20K.
