Vehicle Description
Body is in great condition, 5 speed manual, electric windows a/c works great.
Installed 2” custom lift kit.
I have a log book that I started for my daughter to keep track of everything we did since we bought the car along with the price of the parts we installed.
The bad, car blew heater core while idling, don’t know if it overheated or not as NB’s don’t have a temp gauge and was warming car up, no one in the car at time. Radiator is leaking at one of the end seams and I suspect that the sensor in the radiator that tells fans to come on is faulty, as it never came on . Tested fans and they do work.
Interior is about a 6 out of 10.
The good,
Replaced head with a used one as a precaution, installed new timing belt , rollers and water pump with OEM quality parts, water pump is a metal impeller not the plastic one. All parts were purchased from IDParts.com.
Installed new spark plugs and new injectors.
Installed new fuel filter.
Has a new radio and new speakers.
The foam that covers the blend door were replaced with aluminum foil High temp tape when I first bought car for daughter to drive, she’s driven the car for 6 years during high school and college, replaced it with a newer diesel one.
Car starts and runs good except with the rad fans not coming on at correct temps.
Kelly blue book value has it at $1000.00 in condition it’s in.......for a couple of hundred dollars ( new radiator, rad temp switch ) , I can supply the new heater core , you would just need to supply your own labor and about 2-3 days of your time and you would have a nice car for a beginner driver . Price is FIRM $1000.00 cash only and car is sold as is condition.
