Used 1999 Dodge Neon R/T Project 100k miles for sale in Cedar Falls, IA
Vehicle Description
For sale is a '99 Neon R/T coupe with just over 100k miles. Red with the factory silver racing stripes. This car only came in 5-speed manual.
There are 2 issues with the car that make it not feasible to daily drive:
1. The front motor mount bolt broke off in the frame, this can definitely be fixed but is likely to be annoying.
2. The oil appears to be mixing with the antifreeze. I checked the cap before running it today and it was clean, after running it, there was some coolant residue, so this issue just popped up.
It does have some minor rust starting on the driver's side quarter panel where the previous owner hit something before I got it, and a hole forming in the bottom of the driver's side door. Otherwise just the suspension parts have surface rust, frame and floorpans are very solid.
Steering is tight, drives straight and smoothly, transmission is perfect and I just changed the fluid with OEM. Suspension is great as well. Tires have 9,000 miles on them, still look and perform like new. Interior is in great shape. You are welcome to take it for a quick spin to confirm it's not a total loss if interested.

I love this little neon but I think it would be better in someone's hands that has the time to fix it. Super fun car that gets great gas mileage when it’s working right.
