Ferrari introduced the F355 to the United States in 1995, and the car represented a substantial leap forward in performance and handling, compared to its already capable predecessor, the 348. Produced from 1995 to 1999, the F355 employed a 3.5-liter, 5-valve-per-cylinder V8 engine rated at 380 hp, and has been considered to have one of the best exhaust notes Ferrari ever produced in a street car. The convertible Spider version was introduced in 1996, and in 1997 a six-speed automated manual F1 paddle-shifted gearbox was introduced for the first time in any production Ferrari. A total of only 11,165 Ferrari F355s were built during their 5-year production run, and they are considered one of the most classic and respected designs in Ferrari’s storied evolution.

Ferrari automobiles are known for their performance, as well as their beauty. The F355 is no exception, with 0-60 mph in 4.7 sec., the ¼ mile in 12.9 sec., and a top speed of 183 mph.

Available for the first time to the public is this pristine example, finished in Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) with a tan interior and black convertible top, it is one of only 1,127 F1 Spiders produced. This locally owned Ferrari has seen just 6,977 miles, and was originally sold new by Cauley Ferrari of West Bloomfield, Michigan. Serviced by Cauley over the years, it has had one ownership change in 2016, going into a private collection until just recently, when made available for sale.

This car offers the best of Ferrari’s last year of F355 Spider production, with special Scuderia fender shields and a Challenge rear grille. The exterior paint is in excellent, near flawless condition, as is the interior leather. The wheels and tires are in similar excellent condition. It also has a 6-disc CD changer.
