Used 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 for sale in Johnson Creek, WI
Vehicle Description
This was my daily driver until recently when it developed a coolant leak. I couldn't readily find the source of the leak, it just all ran to the bottom of the engine block and then onto the ground. I was able to get it to my local mechanic for a 10 minute inspection for him to possibly diagnose the problem, and give me a ballpark price for a fix. He had a hard time figuring it out where it was exactly coming from, but narrowed it down to the water pump or timing cover area. He gave me a quick estimate of $700 to get in there and see what was going on.
That being said. This pickup does have it's issues and anyone interested needs to understand this before a possible purchase. I am selling it as it is.
There is some rust along the bottom of the passenger door and tailgate, and on the underside of the vehicle. The back passenger door was stuck closed today, and that was new to me, as I haven't been in there for a few months since the coolant problem happened. The interior isn't the cleanest, stains on the upholstery etc. It runs fine. Maybe a little underpowered, but I'm sure some new gaskets would solve vacuum leaks somewhere to get the power back.
This vehicle does run, I just wouldn't recommend it due to how fast it looses coolant. So if you were to purchase, you would need a way to pick it up. I had to jump it earlier to start, but have it on the charger now. The battery is just dead from a couple months without running it.
I will be getting rid of this vehicle by the end of the week either through a sale or a donation, so make me an offer.
