Vehicle Description
Owned since 2009 with 45K miles. Now has 85K miles.
It has been a second car in the household for some time now.
The Bad: Three warning lights are on for ABS, VSA and traction control off light. All three lights were diagnosed to the ABS modulator.
The modulator needs to be replaced. On the used market they are $200ish. New from Acura they are $1800.00ish.
Driver seat occasionally will not move to adjust.
Car has a salvage title.
Left fender needs to be pulled from door edge.
The Good: The car drives very nice and is smooth at highway speeds. 85K miles is nothing on an Acura.
At 80K the following work was completed.
-New Acura OEM Radiator
-All coolant hoses
-Timing Belt. Including all tensioners.
-All other drive belts including internal balancer belt adjacent to timing belt.
-Water Pump.
-OEM Acura coolant after flush.
-Cat back Muffler and pipe with OEM Acura exhaust components.
-Main relay replaced with OEM Acura part.
-All receipts are in the folder.
-Transmission fluid changed with OEM Acura fluid. Drained and refilled 3 times with 100 miles between changes as recommended by Acura.
Except for the warning lights, the car passes inspection. Car does not leak anything. A/C was very cold this past summer. Does not use any oil. Always have used Mobil 1 synthetic.
Car is registered and inspected in Mass till 3/2021. Always passed emissions with flying colors.
Car might be a fixer upper? Or might be a great parts car for the drive train. You decide.
I am not thrilled with dealing with the CL time wasters. I am not looking to make a killing on this car.
Just looking for a fair deal with someone that can use this aging luxury sedan. Car is located in Swansea and we can meet right off exit 8.
