This bmw has been my moms daily driver for about 8 years now. She got a new car (an suv) and doesn’t drive it anymore. Coincidentally right as she stopped driving it, it got a coolant leak. There are pictures of where the exact leak is and such so you know what you’re dealing with. There was a really small crack down the radiator (about an inch long) that I patched with jb weld and stop leak to fix it. It doesn’t leak from there now but the connector right next to it does leak. You could drive it home if you lived in a 30 min radius. However after a test drive you’d be pushing your luck driving that far. I decided against trying to do some redneck way of sealing it because if I was buying the car I’d rather do it myself. Over all it’s a great car and I have all the pros and cons listed down below. Pros:
* 6 speed manual
* V8 engine
* Drives smooth
* Newer clutch (replaced 3 years ago)
* Family driven (8 years)
* Second owner
* Have all of the receipts
* Clean title
* Tags are still good
* Has LED headlights
Cons:
* Coolant leak at hose from radiator to water pump
* Radiator had a small crack in it and was sealed but would need to be replaced
* Small oil leak (half a quart every month if daily driven)
* Back right tire goes down to 10 psi after a week (the tire shop told us it was the way it’s sealed)
* Airbag light is on
* Most of the dash pixels have gone out
* The abs light is on but nothing is wrong with the brakes
* Small cosmetic stuff on the interior (back cup holders are gone, some buttons are cracked)
* Timing chain hasn’t been replaced
* The front bumper has a crack in it on the bottom
