Maintaining this car has been very cheap and easy. A month ago a check engine light came for the faulty EGR valve and I think caused failure of a spark plug/coil. Both have been replaced and the car runs great. Rotors and break pads were replaced two years ago (about 22K miles on them) and are in good condition. Alternator had failed/replaced a year ago. The only accident this car had was a gentle bumper to bumper hit in NYC traffic, which left no damage in the car (still using the same bumper). It has got some dents on the body while parked in NYC streets. 6 or 7 years ago it's catalytic converter was stolen (again when parked on the street in NYC), and a new one was welded in its place. Coolant hose going to the engine had a leak and it was replaced 2 years ago. The brown color on the engine (see image) is the stain from the coolant, and not a rust (when this happened to me, while I was driving, I just added bottled water to the radiator and could drive home, then to a mechanic, until the faulty hose was replaced and coolant was flushed). No major rusts on the vehicle. A few minor rusts on the body were treated and spray painted. Heating and AC works; although AC isn't ice-cold, it is sufficient. Sunroof works and does not leak. Cruise control and power windows work. Cabin light bulbs need replacements (only one of them works in front). There was an aftermarket CD player/AM/FM radio on the car (with AUX), which I have enjoyed since I bought the car. Speakers are original (I think) and pretty good (better than what I have in my new car).
I have been routinely driving between NYC and Geneva. I just bought a newer all-wheel-drive car for the coming winter weather, instead of buying a set of new tires. I don't have space to keep this beloved car and therefore I am selling it. It is priced for quick sale! Comes with Thule roof racks (see them in the trunk).
