Vehicle Description

This is a friend’s suv that gave her 225,000 problem free miles, until the 3.0L V6 motor made an awful sound and quit. She is going to find a newer Lexus and buy it, so I’m trying to help her work up a nice down payment. This vehicle is optioned out, transmission is good, new front tires, body is straight, clean Carfax, and the clear, lien free title is in the glove box. I replaced the A/C condenser with a unit from Dixie Salvage 6 months ago, properly evacuated it, and refilled it with R134a and PAG 46 oil. It blew colder than my 2020 truck! It also had new struts in May. Based on the compression numbers, I am of the opinion that the motor needs to be rebuilt or replaced, however, I’m not a mechanic. The interior is good, given the age and mileage, the stereo system still sounds great, wipers are new, battery is brand new, and I just put 14,000 lumen led headlights in it the week before it died. While the motor is shot, there are a lot of other things that could be parted out. Or, someone who has the skills could replace the motor for about $1200, and have a nice daily driver. It was her daily for nearly a quarter million miles! I am hoping to get $1500 for it, as I feel it’s worth at least that. Please text questions, offers, etc. to show contact info
