Used 2000 Toyota Corolla CE for sale in Santa Cruz, CA
Vehicle Description
Getting a smog tomorrow and will present paperwork to buyer. I'm also looking to sell a set of coilovers that fit this car. Not necessary for me sell together. See end of post.
PROS:
1. Runs really well
2. Shifts like a dream
3. Tires from 2018, look pretty darn new
4. New hub caps
5. No accidents while I owned it, no serious accidents reported by previous owner
6. Fun to drive
CONS:
1. Light body damage and a couple different-colored body parts
2. Power steering pump cracked so harder to turn wheel at low speeds
3. Minor interior wear
4. Front suspension worn out
5. Long crack in windshield
6. Driver back window does not go down
PROS or CONS DEPENDING on BUYER:
1. Aftermarket tail lights
2. Aftermarket headlight assemblies and front bumper
3. Aftermarket muffler with chrome exhaust tip for better sound (not very loud)
RECENT MAINTENANCE:
1. New passenger front hub and wheel bearing
2. Oil change about 100 miles ago
3. New rear suspension as of late 2019
4. New spark plugs
KNOW UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
1. Will need rear brakes at some point. Still have 3mm of tread which is ok given back brakes ware much slower.
2. Will need to change transmission fluid in less than 10k miles. I recommend a pan service, do NOT flush a transmission this old. It shifts great now so don't stress it out.
3. Intermittent screech when braking will need diagnosis at some point. Still not sure what it is after changing bearing and brakes.
4. Recommend tire rotation
COILOVERS
I'm also looking to sell the brand new Tein Flex X coilovers that fit this car. They will fit any 7th or 8th gen domestically sold Corolla. I paid $1,200, but I'll take $900. Car + coilovers = $3700. If you want just the coilovers that's cool too.
