Used 2001 CHEVROLET LUMINA - drives great, for sale in Seattle, WA

Vehicle Description

! $1000 OR BEST OFFER ! IDEAL FOR A MECHANIC LOOKING TO FLIP FOR A PROFIT OR TAKE PARTS FROM

THE BAD:
-obvious damage to the hood, front bumper, and latching mechanism*
-needs a wash & detailing
-it may take my father a few days to locate the title, but he definitely has it (gotta love a hippie)

THE GOOD:
-low miles for the car's age
-replaced battery in late 2020 (can show receipts)
-AC & heating still work
-nice programmable radio with CD player (it may also have an aux input)
-roomy, can seat 3 with seat belts in front bench seat (can seat 5 people total, including driver)
-spacious interior
-tons of storage in trunk, center console, glovebox, etc. i have also managed to fit surprisingly large furniture in the backseat and moved an entire apartment's worth of belongings in one run in this guy

*I have been told by several mechanics that the damage is likely entirely cosmetic, and it appears there is no damage beyond the engine mounts. The problem is, the hood can't be opened without removing it entirely.

I am a young driver and this car has been a challenge on my visibility being a shorter person, so my family and I decided it is time for me to move on rather than taking the time and money to find the right parts and mechanic for the job. However, it still drives like a charm and I have had several mechanics do as thorough of a look as possible to confirm it is not leaking any fluid.

-One mechanic said it could be fixed fairly easily to by removing and "beating the hood into submission" and replacing the latching mechanism.
-Another said it could be done with parts from a pick-and-pull (including a hood) for a reasonable price if a mechanic can afford to take time in finding them.
-The auto-body shop I went to gave me a quote of $1500-$2000 to replace everything with completely new parts and several days of labor.

I drove it about 15 miles home from the accident, then about 10 miles to and from that body shop where I got some very helpful advice to sell it to someone who's knowledgable enough to put the work in themselves. I have been driving it daily up the street since the accident just to confirm it still starts and isn't acting weird. So far, the temperature gauge has not spiked at all. I am confident you could drive it away and I have bungee cords at the ready to strap the hood down if you have any concern of it coming unlatched (it won't). I have not driven above ~45mph in it since the accident and wouldn't advise doing so until you can take a look under the hood. I want to be honest and up front that this is definitely a project car, but I think it has a lot of life left in it for the right person.

If you were to take it to a body shop like someone with my amount of knowledge would have to, you're looking at $1500-$2000 in repairs to get it back to a fully safe condition.

If you are or know a mechanic and are able to locate the necessary parts on the cheap, I was told you could likely get it done for about $400-600 (~$300 in parts ~$200 in labor). I am a young adult with no car expertise so this is not the kind of venture I'm equipped for, but it could make you a pretty penny. I've attached the KBB values for both Fair and Good condition so you can get an idea of what kind of profit you might be able to make.

Serious inquiries only, please. You can text my dad at 4two5three18zero33zero or contact me via email. Thanks!
