Used 2001 Ford Explorer XLT for sale in Willernie, MN
Vehicle Description
Nice older SUV with a pretty nice body and incredible interior for the year. Approx. 166K miles on smooth running engine. Overall a nice used second vehicle. Lot's of power goodies and a 10K tow hitch! Tires are average. Awesome running/driving vehicle for the money! And it doesn't look bad either!
Quirks:
- Even though fuel injected, sometimes it needs to be pumped hard to start. Always starts but sometimes needs additional driver assistance. Expect an intermittent relay that needs replacement? It either starts right up or you have to pump it hard but it ALWAYS starts. Once it starts it starts perfect until it gets cold.
- 4 Wheel drive works fine in all modes. The electronic selector motor is a bit sticky so sometimes you have to play with it but it works and I used it all winter. New 4WD selector motor is about $80 and would take under an hour to switch with minimal tools. Keep in mind it does still work.
- Blower fan dash vents require moving the switch to the other side. It works in both modes so I don't bother with it.
