Used 2001 Toyota 4Runner - locking differentials, nice new tires, well... for sale in Chicago, IL
Vehicle Description
These cars are super reliable but they have 2 issues: 1 the trans cooler breaks - I solved this issue by having an external cooler installed and putting in a new genuine Toyota radiator. 2. The rear axles can leak and need replacing - I had the axle seals replaced and installed an upgraded breather (this is what causes the problem) - repair done using genuine Toyota parts.
In addition to the 2 big repairs I mentioned above I also did a lot of other routine maintenance, and I used genuine Toyota parts whenever possible:
1. Transfer case flushed w synthetic Mobil 1
2. New Toyota Battery
3. All belts replaced w genuine Toyota belts
4. All hoses replaced w Toyota hoses
5. Oil, trans fluid, gearbox fluid flushed.
6. Coolant flushed
7. 4 new top of the line tires w lifetime warranty and rotations.
8. New alternator
9. Spark plugs, air filter, wires replaced
10. New front brakes
11. Ball joints and stabilizer links replaced
12. Alignment done - car drives straight
I have receipts for parts and many repairs.
The car has never been involved in a crash, has a clear title.
It has high miles but it runs great.
Selling because my mom no longer drives.
