2001.5 VW Passat AWM 1.8t FWD Tiptronic

I've purchased this car from the original owner back in January of 2012. The car had 150k miles and needed loads of TLC.

Ever since I've done quite a lot to this car in regards to repairs and maintenance

I have receipts for probably around 90% of the stuff I've bought throughout all these years.

I did not spare any money on this. I always bought high quality aftermarket or OEM parts.

I've also documented a decent amount via pictures which I'll bother offering only to a serious buyer.

The list of mods is quite long. In regards to looks i understand that its fairly personalized to my liking and that not everyone will like it.

The car is in 100% perfect mechanical condition. In regards to the engine bay it needs nothing. No oil, coolant, exhaust leaks.

Of course this is a 20 year old car and it is not perfect whatsoever.

There was a time when I thought I'll keep this car forever, but I got to the point where I could only go really big or just leave it as is and simply got bored.

The car has 226k miles and in the last 2-3 years its been garaged and driven only once in a while. I start it up and take it for a spin regularly every 1-2 weeks.

Ive changed oil every 5k miles with Mobil 1 5w-30 and K&N oil filter.

All the maintenance is up to date. I did the whole timing belt job 1.5 years ago (max 2-3k miles ago). At that same time 034 density line lower control arms were installed and oil pick up tube was replaced. All the filters are good and fairly recent. Just few months ago I replaced engine mounts as well and installed an aftermarket steering wheel with NRG quick release and swapped seats into nicer ones.

It is a unitronic stg2+ which I've been running for couple of years now. It was entirely complete, however, since Im selling the car I pulled out the fmic and larger injectors and sold it to my buddy. Currently its on a stock smic and injectors but it runs totally fine.

List of required mods for unitronic can be found on their website. The car has them all.

K04 when installed was brand new Borg Warner. It has approximately 10k miles on it and it peaks at 26-27psi and runs beautifully. Wastegate is slightly tweaked for higher boost (base for this tune is approx 21psi). If you don't like it you can always dial it back.

Ive never dynoed the car so I have no clue how much power it makes. With proper injectors and fmic it should make around 280-300hp. It is really fun to drive. A true joy. I dont drive it often but when I do it reminds me how much I really love this car.

Transmission at one point was swapped after the old one failed. This was done in 2016. Rebuilt torque converter was placed, main seal done and mounts replaced; new filter, oil, plugs etc of course (all oem). Placed tranny was used that had 96k miles at the time. It should now have around 120k miles. It works totally fine.

Body-wise, the boser hood was done by my friend few years ago. It was obviously repainted but since it was a while ago, there are few minor dings here and there just from driving. In recent 2-3 years I had the roof, trunk lid and rear bumper repainted. It has a euro front bumper which is pretty hard to get. I myself had to get it shipped to me from Poland. Black euro moldings all around also pretty rare goodie that you wont find that easily.

For the sake of not making this listing ridiculously long, I'll write down the mods list and if you want even more detail, you can pm me with questions.

Engine bay

1. Custom actual cold air intake with K&N cone and AEM prefilter

2. Full SAIP delete with a block off plate.

3. Stg 2+ tune from Unitronic

4. 034 3" test pipe with Bosch O2 sensors (both replaced a some point) and spacers

5. Stock downpipe to a 2.5" pipe with a resonator delete to a stock muffler. Essentially its a straight pipe to an oem muffler. Low key, but I think it sounds pretty decently and its not obnoxious

6. Borg Warner k04-15 with a tweaked wastegate

7. Audi TT MAF

8. NGK performance spark plugs

9. APR R1 diverted valve

10. Black forest industries snub mount

11. Recently replaced engine mounts

Body

1. Boser hood

2. Euro front bumper

1. ST coilovers (approx 30k miles - they are rated for 60k i believe)

6. Raxles axles on both sides. Recently replaced boots on both sides

Interior

1. Manual leather seats (recently swapped in) in good shape

2. Custom headliner, trunk deck lid and pillars (see pics)

3. Aftermarket VW steering wheel with NRG quick release

4. NewSouth Performance boost gauge

5. Two tone black/beige doors

6. Leather armrest

7. Pioneer double-din stereo

8. Alpine speakers all around (do not remember model)

9. Alpine 12" sub with a mono amp

10. Monster floor mats

Flaws:

1. Clear coat peeling off along the left side pillar

2. Dashboard is cracked (broken off piece is gone) in the area where the glove box attaches to it. I still have the glove box and will obviously include with the car

3. Front fenders paint is cracked where they were rolled

4. Wheels/tires are balanced and do not make noise but the rears def need change. Wheels are a bit beat up

5. Seats do have built in heating but it is not wired to the car (it didn't come stock with this particular one)

6. Rieger lip has a crack at the bottom passenger side but its really just cosmetic

8. Airbag light is on. Its been on since I bought the car years ago and honestly never even bothered to look into it

9. There are 2 accidents reported from the previous owner. I dont know the details, but I have carfax so you can look into that yourself. I know that passenger door was replaced from one of them. Havent had any issues with that.
The car has a lot of miles and its 20 years old. Its been driven daily for many years, so its not perfect.

Im in no rush to sell this. If I wont find a buyer for the price I want, then its gonna sit in my garage till I die lol (or maybe ill part it)

My asking price is $3750. I'm not pulling any parts out of it, comes as is
