Vehicle Description
The time has come to sell my pride and joy. It is a babied 2002 Trans Am WS6 with the ram air hood. Always ran Mobile 1 since the first day I owned it in 2011. It has Pacesetter long tube headers with SLP exhaust and the SLP air intake. This thing sounds mean! I've added Baer drilled/slotted rotors. I also lowered the car 1.2" with Strano lowering springs with Koni orange shocks up front and Koni yellow shocks in the back along with an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear. Lower Control Arm relocation brackets where supposed to be installed as well when I had it lowered, but they never made it on so these will go along with the car to the new owner. I had 5% tint installed on the 2 door windows along with 35% on the windshield (the rear hatch was already dark from the factory, looks great). I love using dual action polishers with the best compounds so the factory paint on the car looks really great for an 18 year old car. The front tires are pretty much brand new and the rears were installed a couple years ago, still a lot of tread left. The interior looks very good considering the car has over 151,000 miles.
The cons with the car. The radio is pretty weak. Only has the 2 speakers in doors and thats it. With the car being as loud as it is it makes it hard to hear the radio. Interior has the infamous crack on the passenger door panel. Sail panel has the infamous bubbling. The air conditioning has never been great in this car but I was able to get by all these years with it how it is. The front of the car has 18 years of rock chips. The left rear bumper has a half dollar sized scuff from previous owner. I used touch up paint to sort of hide it but its not very noticeable. There is a small oil leak. Depending on if you use Mobile 1 you will get a very small leak, but if you use conventional oil it doesn't seem to leak. That Mobile 1 will find anyway to get out lol. So, between oil changes you may have to add a half quart to get back to the full line.
The car is a real eye catcher. People really like to talk to you about this car at gas stations or where ever so if you don't like that sort of thing then this car isn't for you. I still get a smile from ear to ear whenever I drive this car and I know you will love it as much as I have!
