I drove this truck back from Florida - 700 miles. It ran fantastic. It did not use any oil and is loaded with Acceleration and Power. The Pre-Emissions DT466 is one, if not the best engines ever produced in the medium duty truck series. These pre-emission engines are very difficult to find and this one is very very strong.

This high quality 2002 International 4400 Chipper Truck has 206457 miles. It has the Navistar DT466 Turbo Diesel (230hp) with an Eaton Fuller Hi-Low 9 spd Manual Transmission, and a Spicer rear end. One of the best features of this truck is the drive train. The Navistar DT466 engine provides superior torque and horsepower and is known as the “Million Mile Engine” in the industry, the Eaton Fuller transmission is bulletproof and the Spicer rear end is also rated as the best in the industry. This drivetrain combination if properly cared for can last up to 1 million miles or more before any major rebuild is needed. The biggest advantage of the DT466 is the ability to rebuild the engine while it is still in the truck. This is known as an “in frame Re-Sleaveable Engine” which saves thousands of dollars if and when that time comes for a rebuild.

You will not find a cleaner truck anywhere in the US.

Our first step in the reconditioning process is to take our trucks to the local International dealer before anything else is done. They physically go through them from front to back and top to bottom. We do not put any truck up for sale with active codes or known issues.

THE BOX

The 13 cubic yard box (12’ X 7’)has a New Steel Floor along with some other minor repairs. It is in very good condition. The dump functions flawlessly and is smooth, no leak down. There is a swing tailgate on the rear as well as storage for a pole saw or other long instruments on the side at the rear.

CONDITION REPORT

Inside the cab, you’ll find an AM/FM Radio, Air Conditioning, Heat, Cruise Control, a 12v Power Outlet/Cigarette Lighter, 12V Wired Power Supply, Storage Console/Cup Holders, Compass & Temp Gauge, Emergency Reflector Kit, Dual Sun Visors, and a Fire Extinguisher. The driver’s seat is an Air Ride Bucket seat with adjustable armrest and the passenger is a 2–man bench seat. Both have been recovered

This truck is exceptionally clean. The entire truck has been repainted, including the inside of the box The frame from the cab back as well as the front suspension, has been sandblasted, primed and painted (3 coats). The Steps, differential, and springs have all been sandblasted and freshly painted. The engine has been steam cleaned and there are no leaks of any kind. The wheels, hubs and lug nuts have also been sandblasted and repainted. Inside we took the seats out cleaned and repainted the frames. The entire interior was steam cleaned including the back panel and headliner. All of the panels and dash shine and are not dull. This truck looks fantastic. This truck is immaculate, clean as a pin. You can not appreciate it until you see it in person the pictures just don’t do it justice.

It is easy to tell that it has not been abused or overworked and obviously cared for properly. It is as quiet of a truck at idle as you will ever find. All of the interior features are functioning normally and there are no mechanical or drivability issues. It is sitting on 22.5” tires. Front Left NEW Left Rear Outside 8/32mm, Inside 6/32mm.
