other than tires and regular maintenance and mileage services here are the following things I have done by myself or had a tech install. most of the parts i have put on myself are factory
drivers seatbelt buckle,cabin and engine air filters, Denso 02 sensors, Optima AGM battery, MOOG sway-bar links, front pads-rotors-calipers, new DOORMAN gas tank-pigtails-Denso secondary sender unit, rear shocks, new rear shoes drums... its been a very reliable car. not a lot of maintenance over the past 18 years.
The bad parts about this car is the LF door keyhole doesn't lock or unlock. I had a deer destroy my bumper and LF headlight (replaced headlight with used one from junkyard.) someone backed into my LF door. a lot of dents around the car, some cosmetic interior issues. ive kept the car clean and tidy on the inside as best as I can.
in my time Ive seen 2nd gen rav4's with 350,000 miles. if you maintain a car it will take care of you. i mainly do highway mileage. the clutch show no signs of giving out (no slipping, shaking or noises)
Im driving a Prius right now and I have the Rav4 as a backup. Im not looking for a lowball price. next summer I might be interested in a bike. Im interested in cash or trade.
