Vehicle Description
Unfortunately it is hard to start first thing in the morning. We had a few mechanics work on it but they were not up to the task and did not correctly diagnose the issue. After having a trusted friend who is a mechanic take a look, him and another diesel mechanic say it likely needs a new set of injectors. One of them is leaking air causing it to lose prime if it sits overnight. Once started and primed it fires and runs excellent all day. Once the injectors are done this is a completely updated ‘03 5.9 that has a ton of life left in it. At this point we are ready to cut our losses and move on.
I want to be very upfront that this truck needs work and that has been factored into the price. I have put a lot of money into this truck this year having the fuel delivery system worked on. Please factor the cost of new injectors into your budget. I can refer a trusted diesel mechanic to anyone wanting to buy this truck. If repaired it is valued at 16-18k I’m told.
