Vehicle Description
All aluminum, manual trans hybrid. If you are a skilled hypermiler this wonderful little bug is your ticket to 110 mpg. I can't get past 78mpg but I'm not as patient as I used to be. The car can do 56mpg at 75mph, consistent. 46 mpg in stop-and-go traffic.
Transmission is perfect, fluid has been changed with Honda genuine Manual trans fluid twice in the last year to prevent wear, (this fluid and engine oil change will be performed again prior to the buyer taking delivery, I want this lovely little car to last), and you must promise to use 0w-20 full synthetic and genuine honda oil filters or I won't sell to you. Yes, I'm serious. I'm hating letting this car go, but; needs must.
Anyone that knows these cars knows they tend to be tricky in bad weather, BUT this car has rear-wheel spacers, (DOT LEGAL) to ensure the track width at the rear is very close to the track width of the front, (from the factory the rear track width is 3" narrower than the front, makes snow a chore) as a result of installing 25mm spacers in the rear the car is easy peasy in the snow, so long as you are not ham-fisted and trying to force a little car to behave as a german panzer. Otherwise, it rides great and feels like a go-kart in traffic. it's actually quite peppy.
New stuff: HV hybrid battery, cooling system (all hoses, Honda genuine thermostat, water pump, coolant temp sensors, radiator cap, and heater core flush. heat is blasting hot), Honda genuine block heater, new front pads and rotors, 4 new Michelin summer tires, all ground wires replaced and upgraded, instrument panel buttons, GAZ adjustable rear shocks, intake EGR port clean with new intake gaskets, Air filter, fuel filter, all-weather floor mats, and new belts.
Runs great, drives great, fun little runabout.
