Vehicle Description
I've never taken it off road (I have a highly modified 91 Wrangler for that), and there is no indication that it's ever been off-road. All original paint, no body damage, no rust on the body or frame. This Jeep runs and drives far better than new, thanks to the upgrades listed below. Unlike every other TJ I've ever seen, this Wrangler has ZERO death wobble at any speed!
Upgrades: polyurethane front track bar bushings, polyurethane front and rear A arm bushings, KYB shocks, Timken wheel bearings, new front brakes and rotors, new front u-joints, Moog ball joints (upper and lower), new steering box, Moog tie rod ends. Tires are Wrangler Duratrac LT235/75R15s. Rear frame rail support gussets have been welded in place to support the weight of an after-market rear bumper/spare tire carrier. I have a brand new vinyl floor mat and an impossible to find Hurst shifter and stick that (both uninstalled) that will go with the Jeep. I believe I have a new set of door seals that, if I can locate them, will go with the Jeep as well.
Known issues:
-Gas struts on the rear window hatch are a little weak and probably should be replaced at some point.
-windshield has a crack and rock chips.
-paint chipped off years ago below passenger side of the windshield ( seen in pictures).
-like every Jeep, this one will periodically leak in a rain. I've never been able to figure out where the water enters so I removed the carpet.
