The 2003 2004 Marauder utilized the Panther platform. Along with sharing heavier-duty brake and suspension components with the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, the Marauder adopted many of the chassis upgrades introduced as part of the 2003 update of the Panther platform; rack-and-pinion steering replaced the long-running recirculating ball design previously used by the Grand Marquis.In place of the supercharged V8 from the concept vehicle, the 2003 Marauder was fitted with a 302 hp 4.6L DOHC V8[13]; paired with a 4-speed 4R70W automatic (4R75W for 2004), the engine was shared with the Mustang Mach 1 and Lincoln Aviator. The Marauder shared its limited-slip differential (and 3.55:1 rear-axle ratio) with the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor[14], along with its aluminum driveshaft.

This particular car served as a high performance daily driver for first the owner of a nationally known speed retail company followed by a professional car builder and speed shop owner as the second owner. This Mercury has a fresh service, recent tires, new rear factory air suspension replaced, it has been smogged and recently passed with flying colors, it is currently registered in Ca.
This 2003 Mercury has been well maintained through the years, though it does show misc rock chips and the typical faded clear coat on parts of the top surface what can you expect for a 2003 hot rod, it is a very good and clean car with the typical bumps and bruises an original car gets. I have the correct body color touch up paint if/where needed. The engine and mechanicals are fantastic. The oil pressure and charging system are perfect, as seen in the gauges picture. The battery is new, the rear air suspension is replaced, all service has been done religiously. This car has complete functionality of all its factory appointed features. The A/C blows cold and the lights and gauges work as they should. The overhead console digital readout seems extremely dim on occasion, though those seem to be a replaceable item of the new owner decides to. Trunk is complete with full size spare.
