This car is cheap because it has a Rebuilt Title, it is registered and fully insured, and passed inspection long ago. I bought the car at 84k miles, from the private owner who fixed it and loved it, and have added about 7k since, the car runs brilliantly. Googling the VIN will bring up the photos of the damage, upper passenger quarter panel, passenger headlight and such. Nothing critical, or structural, luckily. If you are a serious buyer, I will send you the VIN and you can look into it yourself. Or I can send the pictures. This is the ONLY reason the car is this cheap. I figured $4,000 reduction for the Rebuilt Title seemed pretty fair.

Things I have done since purchasing the car:
Loved it, and...
Installed brand new Ultra High Performance All Season Michelin tires ($900 installed)
Purchased a second set of factory Porsche Rims (17" Porsche Twist Rims) with very good winter tires ($700)
Purchased, and will include in the sale, Durometric USB OBD II Porsche Scanner tool ($308)
Drained and flushed the coolant with deionized water 3 times, driving a couple hundred miles between each, (to clear out the old coolant completely) before filling with OEM factory Coolant.
3 Oil Changes, one to collect any particles and flush, one to check the condition of the IMS after a couple thousand miles, and one a month ago to drive.
Full purchase inspection at Iannelli Autocars (performance car specialists) with inspection results
Door barrel lock rebuilt to prevent degradation (only one lock on these cars, if it breaks you are hooped).
Swapped every speaker in the car with high quality JL Audio speaker (8 of them), I still have the stock speakers, if you want them for some reason.
Things I intended to do in the spring if I was keeping the car:
Replace the clutch (car is still on its original clutch, at 90k miles, which is amazing, but it'll be a nice upgrade)
Replace the CV joint axle boots (maintenance item) one boot is torn
Re glue the rear convertible top around the bottom of the rear window, glue is pealing, not noticeable, but should be done to prevent excess wear.
Condition the convertible top (already have the Porsche Brand sealant) though the top is in perfect shape
Flush the brake system completely (Durometric Tool actuates the master and slave cylinder as well as the clutch cylinder during bleed)
Drain, flush, and re fill the manual transmission and the differential (every 90k miles or so)
Fill the 4 screw holes the last owner drilled in the trunk lid to install the rear spoiler
Aside from the clutch, which works perfectly anyway, these are all easy jobs if you like to wrench on cars

This car has never been tracked, it has never hit the rev limiter (the computer stores this permanently, and the Durometric tool reads it, and a couple hundred other things), and I have almost caught up on all deferred maintenance since I bought it. The car drives fabulously, and aside from a couple very minor quirks (from a 17 year old car) it is in very good condition. Mechanically it is very sound.

I just got back from an 1,800 mile road trip, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Dragon's Tail. The car never flinched.

Why I am selling the car, basically comes down to why I bought the car in the first place. I started a job at Case Western University in early February that required me to drive all over PA, NY, and MD to work with clinical research participants, some of whom are immunocompromised. I thought I should obviously do it in a Porsche convertible. I bet you know how that turned out. The job changed in March and now I work, and will continue working moving forward, from home. I am no longer allowed to travel to participants; I no longer have need of a 2 seater convertible sports car. That simple.

Before low balling, consider the sale price includes over $2,000 worth of parts, materials, trim, and tools (including the Porsche factory tool kit) you will need for a low profile, Porsche sports car. Test drives will have me sitting shotgun, and it's a 2 seater, so if you have friends or a mechanic, we'll need time to do multiple trips.
