Used 2003 Ram 1500 for sale in Valley City, ND
Vehicle Description
1/2 ton: 360 / automatic / 355 gears (posi rear) / electric windows and locks / remote start / brake controller / new shocks all the way around / bedliner was installed before I got it. Miles = 226,300 and going up. Did an oil change last week at this mileage. I did a check on oil consumption over this oil change period - about 1500 miles to a quart. Also last trip to StCloud yielded 12.7mpg. I have not seen any leaks under the truck. Within last 12K miles: replaced both scuzzy headlights with new assemblies / had transmission fluid flushed and replaced with new fluid / new wipers / replaced hood support shocks. Tires appear to be a bit better than half tread. / The driver's seat is NOT tore like most others. This is the first year Rams that have 4 wheel disc brakes.
It is a comfortable thing to drive. Been driving this lately to save the miles from my 93 W150 which I will keep until either it or I become unfixable.
Issues?
Besides the rust, the windshield has a crack running all the way across it but at least it is under your line of sight.
The armature for the AC electric clutch is open circuit (can't get current thru it). Therefore, the AC clutch won't engage so no AC. I have been looking for the correct armature for this unit (appears to be aftermarket) because I do not want to open an AC system that isn't leaking freon. A used armature is not expensive but any other fix is considerably more money. In progress, so if I find one before it sells, I will have it installed.
Reason I am selling: I wanted something with more heft, more power than this truck as well as more speed and better brakes (disc) than the W350 I was using to pull a car trailer. Basically replacing 2 pickups with 1.
